MUSIC AND WORSHIP NOTES
Welcome to the MUSIC AND WORSHIP page of Friendship Baptist Church! I am so excited to be a part of Friendship's ministry staff! God is doing great things at Friendship, and we want YOU to be a part of them!
Our CELEBRATION CHOIR (Sanctuary Worship Choir) will resume rehearsals on Sunday, January 8, 2012, at 4:30 pm. We will be preparing music for our 11:00 am Sunday worship services. Additionally, we will be working on "Experiencing God" The Musical which will be presented on Sunday evening, April 1, 2012, at 6:00 pm. This presentation will be the culmination of a 13-week church-wide study of "Experiencing God" which begins on Wednesday evening, January 4, at 7:00.
"Raise the Praise!" Children's Choir Outreach will resume in February. Tuesday, February 7 will be our registration day. Parents, please come by the church between 3:00 and 5:30 pm to register your child (GRADES 1 - 6) for the Spring Semester. Actual rehearsals with school pickups will resume on Tuesday, February 21. Presently, our church buses pick up students from Lyman Elementary, Chandler Creek Elementary, Beech Springs Intermediate, and Greer Middle. We will be adding a pick-up at Duncan Elementary for the Spring 2012 semester. The group will meet each Tuesday afternoon through the first week of May, and will present their Spring musical/drama on Sunday evening, May 6, at 6:00 pm. Do you play a musical instrument? Are you interested in singing in one of our choirs? Do you sing in the shower? Play "drums" on your desk? We will be sending out a MUSIC SURVEY in mid-January to help us discover "hidden" talents among our church family. Please be ready to give us feedback by responding!!! We want YOU to be a part of the exciting Music and Worship ministry at Friendship!
